23.03.2022: Cara was placed in a nearby town several months ago after being neutered and tagged by the municipality.
She is extremely friendly to both people and other dogs but life on the street for her was hard. Firstly she had definitely been someone’s pet and was used to living in a house.
Living on the street in the sub zero temperatures of a Rhodope winter and having to find shelter was difficult. She scavenged outside bars and begged for a crust of bread. Secondly she has one blue eye and one partial blue eye. This caused the local children to be frightened of her as they thought she was very scary.
In situations like this involving children the dog has no chance and usually disappears.
So yesterday I went and collected Cara and she’s now safe, warm and has a full belly.
