THE KENNEL PROJECT

SAVING DOGS SINCE 2014

This shelter will be a lifeline for pregnant mothers who are in danger giving birth in the streets, like Pukka.

For dogs that have been abused and abandoned and with no street skills will die unless we have somewhere to shelter them, like Joolz and Kobe.

For dogs involved in road traffic accidents that need a place to recuperate and rehabilitate after surgery and for puppies that have been taken from their mother and dumped, like our rubbish dump babies.

There are many dogs needing our help that will not survive unless we have somewhere for them to go and with your help we can safely fence the land, build a shelter with bays for rescues and provide a play and training area to socialise, train and fully assess them which will give them the best chance of finding a new home.

OUR GOAL

The cost of the project, will include, all landscaping, fencing, walling, building, materials and labour and we need to raise €1000 to make it a reality, so that it is up and running before the harsh winter sets in.

We are calling on animal lovers and rescuers everywhere to donate whatever you can to help us with our shelter project so that more lives can be saved.

Please give what you can and please spread the word so that more people can donate.

Thank you on behalf of our future rescues.

OUR RESCUES OVER THE YEARS

This huge boy - he was just skin and bones - and was dumped in the next village.

When Candy passed by in the morning she saw him lying close to a crossing and hours later on her way back was still there.

Too weak to walk it took two helpers to get him in the car and now he s with her

Just had to stop ! Coming home from town and on the side of the road I saw a small black puppy struggling to walk in the banked snow on the side of the road. She was very frightened of me and ran backwards so I had to reverse. She’s now sitting beside me in the car having poohed green slime down my jacket but she’s safe.

After taking my eldest son Damian and his wife to be Alexandra to the bus this afternoon I found this beautiful boy chained to my shed by the back gate.

Whoever left him there must have waited until I left to go to town as no sign of anyone when I got into the car.

During the night someone in a small car navigated their way down the off road track to my house and dumped this Mum and her 6 pups.

Whoever it was left her and the babies in an metal cage with no food and water. Luckily I heard a dog howling and went to investigate only to find this abandoned little family.

Kobe was dumped in the village! Hungry, thirsty and with a huge storm about to break he had no idea where to go to find shelter and food. I just couldn’t leave him so another soul has joined us.

Yet another dog dumped in the village! How can people do this....it makes me so so angry. She’s such a sweet natured creature who would have done nothing to deserve this. Anyway I have now bought her home.

She was dumped with her babies and at the same time heavily tranquillised. This has never happened before and I hope it never happens again! Thank goodness the road is not busy as she would not be alive now.

Rhea's life has changed beyond belief since she was callously abandoned in the village with her three puppies Bumble, Bee and Loki. Her previous owner has probably never even given her a second thought from when he abandoned her in a strange village , with her three tiny babies to care for.

On the way back from shopping this afternoon I came across this little pup who had been dumped 2 hrs previously according to the security guard. Her chances if left would have been nil due to close proximity of the road, no food and two aggressive shepherd dogs guarding their flock close by. Not a chance in hell I could leave her.

Went to go shopping ( which I did ) but came home with these two handsome boys who had been dumped on the roadside. They had food and water but their chances of survival were slim as this although a mountain road can be busy with vehicles.

Finally after trying to catch this little girl for several weeks it was achieved. She had been dumped on the side of the road about 1 km from town but try as we may she was impossible to catch. With the aid of tranquilliser in her food and waiting for it to take effect she was finally caught

Some one has dumped 5 small pups on the road into the village. So sad but one has already been hit by a car and killed. Luckily very good friends of mine have offered to foster them until the end of August here in the village.

This little soul was left by the side of a busy road yesterday. She had crept into the undergrowth and had become tangled in some sort of creeper which meant she couldn’t move. I did video the scenario but somehow when I played it back last night I had video’d my foot!

This poor Labrador is wandering around the local market in a daze after being dumped. He is such a friendly boy but is being targeted by the other established dogs as a threat to their territory.

Driving into to town I found yet another 4 puppies that had been dumped by the side of the road! It makes me so so angry as they have no chance to survive here at all. Cold weather is coming and they have no shelter from the rain. No food source at all . The person who dumped these babies should be prosecuted but fortunately here in BG they get away with it all the time. If only they had neutered the Mum this would not have happened.
